Introducing .....

Left : Blackie , my 1st ever community & scaredy cat . Been how many years le but can U believe it ? I dun even know how her fur feels like ! :( She refuses to let ANYONE touch her . :D But she's progressed le lah . Last time can't even go near her , but now at least she meows at us in her very very sweet voice & allows us to place food right in front of her . Sometimes mum & I are juz soooo tempted to make a quick swipe on her head or face . Muahaha !! Then I tink she'll never ever turn up for feeding again . Like we molested her or wat . :D Juz worries me tat if 1 day she falls sick , dunno how to bring her to see the vet . :( Dun wan her to suffer or die all alone in some drain . *Sobs*

Right : Broken-Tail a.k.a. Terry . Most silly fella I've ever met . Juz noticed that his face is rather flat . Haha ! Definitely NOT a looker . :p Silly guy WANTS to get near us but when he does , he'll hiss as though saying ,"Dun come near me ah !! I say dun come near me ah !!" Pfffft ...! Then go far far lah , silly boy ! :D

These 2 are really super duper , pwetty and sweet temperament thingys . Roughly the same age at around 1 year+ . No no , not related but have become firm frens . Sticking around for each other . Truely beautiful wif perfectly nice loooong tails (no kinks) . H has tried re-homing them many times but alas , lady luck is not shining on them . :( *Sobs* Really pains my heart to see them sleeping or hiding among the bushes rain or shine , running to us gratefully each morning and evening whenever we jingle our keys . As though saying ,"Thank you wif all our tiny hearts . U're our saviour ! But why wun ANYONE take us HOME ?" Shoots ! Tearing already . :( Really pitiful to be unwanted & homeless . Really wish to house them but Dad & Mum , not to mention Kathy , Ash & Miu will flip ! :p How I wish I'm rich enough to own a nice island or sumthing , so that I can home & provide for ALL homeless animals and okay lah , humans also . But the humans must love animals also , ah bo I'll throw them in the sea ah ! *Haizz* So , any kind souls out there who'll gif these 2 pwetty gals a nice , warm home ? :(

Left : Scrawny . Mum & Dad can NEVER get his name right . Mum will say Snobby or Snotty or something , and Dad is even more ridiculous ! Called him Swanky ! OMG !! *Faints* S-C-R-A-W-N-Y !! So difficult meh ? When I first met Scrawny , he was realllly skinny and sickly , hence his name . But he has since beef-en up into a fine cat . Mum doesn't like him though . Always dun wan to feed him one . 'Coz he always goes round attacking the other cats . :( Can't blame him mah . He's one of the remaining few around my area who's not sterilized , so he's more gungho mah . :p Have mentioned to H to 'fix' him soon . Ah bo he'll be the first to be rounded up , shud some f*cking idiots decide to go make a complain to the town council AGAIN ! Bah !! Go eat sh*t U freaks !! Grrrr !! :p

Right : Newbie young Orangee . Dunno where this guy come from . Juz appeared last month or earlier . Mum noticed him peering longingly at her when she was feeding the others . He was skinny too but slightly better now . Another one for H to 'fix' . :p

There U go , my 6 community meows . :D Neah neah !! Dun say I'm patient or kind or wat . I'm NOTHING wokays !! Really !! No where near tat . U shud see H and many other really kind souls out there who have really dedicated their own time and energy and $ , saving these lovely furballs . All we wish for in return is juz some tolerence and understanding . Not asking EVERYONE to accept or like them (itz IMPOSSIBLE I know) but juz leave them be lah ! Really disheartened to see most public wanting them dead . Bah !! Juz tolerate !! U know ? 忍 !! Not asking very much rite . If I have to tolerate people littering , screaming kids running around like monkeys , inconsiderate motorists causing air & noise pollution , then why can't people juz tolerate cats , or strays ? Pfffft ..! Everyone wants & demands for a gracious society but they're simply forgetting the fundamentals like kindness & tolerance . Bah bah !! Go burn in hell idiots !

Wokays , enough of wrath for now . Time for breakfast . Yum !

P/S - Juz had to add this in . Was asking my smart-alecky-English-teacher Sis whether "All we wish for IS" or "All we wish for ARE" . U know how sometimes U juz suddenly forget your vocabulary , grammer , WATEVER !! Anywayz , here's her SMS reply :

"You say ALL I WISH FOR IS TO HAVE BIGGER BREASTS . If you only want ONE bigger breast , then you say ALL I WISH FOR IS TO HAVE ONE BIGGER BREAST ."

I'm Back .....

From no where . Muahahaha !! :D Juz been kindda busy AND lazy lately . :p Hey , at least I'm honest wokays ? Finally managed to get my butt and fingers moving today . Dun wanna forget HOW to blog & dun wan my friends to forget me . Itz sad to be forgotten ya know ? *Haizzzz*

Anywayz , nothing much in my life recently , or rather , as always . Juz same boring routine of work , home , eat , sleep , sh*t , work , home , eat , sleep , sh*t . Muahaha !! :D Tatz Ranz for ya ! Really no mood or energy to do anything these days . Wun say that I'm overworked , though it has really been kindda busy in the ward lately . Kindda enjoying the 'adrenaline rush' that comes along with the busy-ness . :D Haven't felt that in a long long while . Juz glad that my ward is finally looking and functioning like a real ward . :D Hope it stays like that . Well , probably only my colleagues will understand wat I meant and share the same sentiments . To my other frens out there who are still wondering wat I'm talking about , let the following SOON-TO-BE-IMPLEMENTED-'COZ-WE'RE-BLO*DYHELL-FED-UP-OF-BEING-DEPLOYED pre-recorded telephone message (thought out by some of us , not juz me ah) enlighten U . ;D Still dun geddit ? Juz read on lah dey :

Like always , telephone rings at passing report time (usually itz the Unit NM asking for a SN or EN for deployment to another ward) .

Anyone of Us *picks up the phone and will say in tat irritating sweet recorded voice* :
"Good morning / afternoon / night .
Welcome to Ward XX , a.k.a. Deployment Centre .
For a Senior Staff Nurse , please press 1 .
For a Staff Nurse , please press 2 .
For a Senior Enrolled Nurse , please press 3 .
For an Enrolled Nurse , please press 4 .
For a PCA , please press 5 .
For a HCA , please press 6 .
To speak to our Nurse Manager , please press 0 ."

Then stoopid , impatient caller presses 5 .

So us *sniggering already , but maintaing that irritating sweet voice* :
"We're sorry , but the number you just entered is invalid ('coz our ward got no PCA mah) . Please try again ."

By then , stoopid , impatient caller loses his/her cool & presses 0 .

Us : "Please hold , while we connect your call ."

Proceed to play an irritating tune like 'I Like to Move It Move It' (from the movie Madagascar) for a full 5 minutes .

Then Us again *gleefully* : "We're sorry , but our Nurse Manager is busy at the moment . Please try again next year . GOODBYE !!"

Ha ! :D Now U get the picture ? Itz tat bad wokays ?! Not tat we mind getting deployed . But not ALL THE TIME mah . Is it our fault that our ward's total is low ?? Is it our fault at all that no one wants to give us patients ?? Is it our fault that other ward staff love taking MCs ?? Huh huh huh ???! Sheesh ! Then issit fair to say that juz because our ward is an ID ward , we dun deserve to get deployment when OUR staff take MC 'coz the nurses deployed to us might bring some ID back to THEIR ward ?? Where's the blardy logic ?! Bah ! So now U understand why I hope our ward stays busy like it did for the past 2 weeks ? *Haizzz* I know itz good karma to help other wards 'coz afterall , itz like helping the organization and helping patients . But enough is enough when we get nasty comments or some idiots tink that we owe it to them to be deployed . F*ck ! An example : Juz not too long ago , some freak decided to take advantage of my supervisor's nice-ness and conveniently asked for our staff from her instead of going through the Unit NM . Then when I had to pull back that staff 'coz our own ward was filling up and we couldn't manage , she nearly freaked out and whined like a pathetic puppy ! Another example : Another loser came to our ward to dunno get something or wat . Saw one of my pregnant colleague (there are 2 mums-to-be currently and he knows it) and juz had to remark something like , "Waah ! Your ward so free ah ? Everyone getting pregnant ." WTF ?! I was there and could only laugh it off in embarrassment wif tat pregnant colleague lor . Wat could we do ? I tink he meant it as a joke but I dun tink it was very funny . Such a meanie ! Okay okay , dun wanna bore U out wif my ward's deployment woes but juz needed to rant it out . :D

Talking about ranting , juz needed to bitch about 2 irritating I-had-no-choice-but-to-deal-with M.O.s last week . One was not that irritating lah but juz couldn't stand his fake-o ang moh accent and what he said was enough to make me wanna box his handsome face . Haha !! Gotta say first that he's quite good looking and tall *swoons* , and in a nice department , but tatz not enough to make me NOT want to box him wokays ! When Ranz is mad , she's really mad and not even a super handsome fella can stop her . Or can he ? Haha ! Watever . Well , wat happened was there's this evening when these 3 fellas from tat nice department came to review a patient they had operated on earlier in the day . It was just an evening review lah and patient was stable . But me being the responsible missy wanted to follow their rounds IN CASE they had some instructions mah or IN CASE they run up to mummy DNA to complain why Staff Nurse neber follow doctors' rounds . *Rolls eyes* . But U know what tat freako gotta say ?

Freako *with that trying-to-be-kind look and irritating ang moh twang* :
"Hmmm , actually we have nothing REVOLUTIONAL to tell ya , so U can just stay put ."

Me *gaping in disbelief like a stoopid goldfish* : "Wadda ??! Oh okay !"

Revolutional ?? Stay put ??!! Like duh ! Actually wat he meant was tat I didn't need to follow their rounds now 'coz it was juz a simple routine post-op review and they won't have any instructions . And he was trying to be kind to my tired feet I guess , but couldn't he speak in a more local Singlish way , like how MOST other doctors would , example : "Staff Nurse , no need to follow us lah ." ??! Sheeesh ! And my fist was juz half a metre from his handsome face ah ! Haha !

Well , the other M.O. I mentioned was juz plain irritating ! Never liked him . Panicky , kan-cheong spider type . Sometimes I juz can't hear what he's mumbling . Anywayz , he wandered into our ward , sans his team , one morning . Wanted to look through one patient's casenotes before anyone else I guess . My take was tat he wanted to impress his consultant or wat . Well , he rushed over to the round trolley (trolley for putting casenotes) couldn't find wat he was looking for and just HAD TO come over to busy me and bellow :

Kan-Cheong Spider *kan-cheongly of course* : "Staff nurse , where's Bed 4's casenotes ah ??"

Me dropped my stuff & nicely tried looking for it for him even though I was not in charge of that patient and I was really busy wif my own patients wokays . Then I remembered that the irritating physiotherapy people had carted away a whole load of casenotes to the doctors' room to update their stuff . Of all times 'coz itz in the morning , when itz the busiest , AND when the doctors are coming to do rounds !
Pause : I gotta say tat I've got no patience for such stoopidity that disrupts workflow .
So , me marched into the doctors' room , wif kan-cheong spider following me like a puppy and ...

Me *in stern voice to physio people* : "Excuse me , but can U all leave the casenotes OUTSIDE till AFTER the doctors' rounds ?"

Physio People *apologetically* : "Sorry sorry ."

But U know wat kan-cheong spider had to say to me , right IN FRONT of the physio people ??! As though he felt 'heart-pain' for them , like someone scolding his lover or wat ...

Kan-Cheong Spider *in an accusing tone* : "You could have just told them (nicely) ."

Me juz shoved his beloved casenotes to him and walked out to continue my earthly duties .

F*ck rite ?! Trying to be a saint now ah ? Why didn't he show ME such consideration when he asked ME for the damn notes . I tink he doesn't like me as well 'coz maybe he knows I dun like him . Haha ! And I know I really sounded harsh or even rude to the physio people and U might think that I'm petty , but I really think I've got better things to do than go round searching for casenotes . For UNGRATEFUL souls tat is ! Really pissed me off ! But like I said , never liked him , so wat happened doesn't really bother me now . Juz tat now I've got a good mind to hide the casenotes of his patients when I see him coming . Ha ! Maybe hide in my bra or wat so that he'll NEVER find them . Muahahaha ! *Evil laugh*

Boring work issues aside , here's my gadgets wish-list (so far) for 2007 :

A portable DVD player . Haven't decided on the brand yet though .

And Nokia N95 .

Once again , sugar daddy , where art thou ?? Hahaha !! Sinful me shud be starting to save $ wif my pay increase , but see , planning how to waste $ instead . :p *Haizzzz* But U tell me , how to be motivated when people close to U are trying to 'ke-tok' U off your $ ? Already the list is in . "Ranz , change the wall light leh . And dun wan those cheap type ah ." and "Ranz , make a tap in the balcony leh . Costs about $300 ONLY lah ." *Haizzz* Resigns to fate . Not tat I really mind but juz dun like the greedy glint that I see in their eyes . People who know me shud know tat I'm not those miserly sort but I've got my own life to lead mah . When I buy MY things , they nag , but buy for them , sure can , the more the merrier ! Pfffft ..! Tink wat ? My pay increase alot huh ? $200 only leh ! :p *Can feel rotten eggs coming my way* Haha !!

Talking about expenses , wanna switch to the Generation Mio thingy soon when my Pacific Internet contract ends this June . Anyone care to tell me watz this Mio thingy is all about ? See lah , Ranz dunno wat it is yet but still wans it . :p And also , time to bring my 3 babies (Kathy , Ash & Miu Miu) for their vaccination soon . :p Kathy's one rather overdue liao . But I can explain !! *Blinks eyes like innocent kitten* :D

Juz did a calculation tat day and realised that my usual order is not enough to feed my growing 'platoon' . Muahahah !! Barely enough to cover 3/4 of a month only . *Gasp* Guess I gotta up my par level or order twice a month from the pet shop .

Long update ya ? Hee hee , enough to last while I go MIA again ? :D Before I go , juz wanna share wif U 2 interesting serials I've watched over these few days . Ya lah yah lah ! I'm off work from 04/04/07 - 08/04/07 but I've got some baby sitting or rather pet sitting to do wokays ? Da parents are in Genting again and itz too hot to go out anywayz , so , have glued myself to the TV . :D

Both super nice serials . Highly recommended . :D Lucky Sis brought over the 'House' VCDs when she came over last week . Ah bo I wouldn't have known such a fantastic medical serial existed . Heard of it once but didn't think much of it . Who names a medical serial 'House' one ?? Tot it was some house renovation show or something to do with a house literally mah . Haha . :p And swa-ku me only at Season 1 when itz already Season 3 in the U.S. . :( Hee ! Dun worry , will catch up some day . My greatest dream is to own the full DVD sets of E.R. - all 11 seasons and counting (haven't start collecting yet though) , Grey's Anatomy (already got Season 1 & 2) and now House M.D. . Ever mentioned tat I'm quite a fan of medical serials rite ? U.S. ones especially . Neah , nice try Sammy , but I dun like Scrubs . Wahahaha ! ;D
