Heh ! Hi peeps !! Juz back from Tampines , after lotsa house visits . :D Had a great time though .
1st stop , Siti's house for Hari Raya . She prepared lotsa yummy food for us . Very nicely done !! Buffet style wif the food warmer and all . Thanx babe . Ogled at her lovely wedding photos too . Haizzz ... Why are some people just born so beautiful ? Not fair !! :( Now now Ranz , gotta be thankful tat though U're ugly , U're born normal okay ? Cannot complain so much ah . Good gal ! :D Had a good time catching up wif the happenings of the ward . Gosh ! Tat old lady is still not giving up ah ? Still nagging and giving the others a hard time . Pfffft ... ! Wait till I make a come back . I'll make sure she shuts up . Hah ! I mean , I dun pick a fight for nothing lah , but dun step on my tail , ooops , toes I mean . Heh ! Anyway , as soon as Sammy & I were leaving , Lina stepped in wif her hubby-to-be . Alemak !! Why never come earlier ? :( Can't chit chat wif her .

Next stop , dropped by Sammy's granny's place , which happens to be in the same block as Siti's . Haha !! Her granny is super cute ! Made me laugh like crazy . *Paiseh* And for a 77 year-old , she's pretty lucid and speaks super good English too . Wahaha !! She's really one of those sweet , old ladies , whom U'd just love to give a hug & kiss . Yeah I know Sammy , eeewww rite ? Hahaha ! No lah , but I really find her so lovable . Especially how she rattles on about the latest happenings in the entertainment industry ? OMG ! Even more updated than me ! :D
Final stop , Sammy's place . Her mum kindly gave us a lift to all the various stops . Thanx auntie !! :D Also gotta add , Sammy's mum is cool too ! Hehe !! The way she drives , stylo sia ! How can he not remember me ? *Sobs* It was juz A FEW months ago when Mum & I rescued him from the bus-stop near our place , worried for him , bathed him & found a nice home for him at Sammy's . How can U forget all tat , little one ? Haiyah , but it's good tat U forget all tat unhappiness , for U've really landed yourself in a very very good home . Lucky thing ! U be a good boy now . And dun keep trying to get out from the house 'coz it's a treacherous world outside . AND stop bullying Petrie . She's one of the main reasons why U managed to stay on in this nice household okay ? Phew ... Long tiring day . Heh ! But it was fun & 'educational' . :D
Started the day with a visit to the Ministry of Manpower at Havelock Road . Wow ! Security there is really tight . Gotta exchange our I/Cs for a pass to gain entry into the main building . Kindda inconvenient but I tink it's all for the best . Better safe than sorry . Had some pretty technical lectures by the Occupational Diseases Physicians (or watever they are called) . Really shut off half way 'coz some topics were simply wayyy too dry AND technical . Wat epoxy resins , cement , bla bla bla ... ?? Haha !! Gimme real raisins anytime . :p Piggy me . Anyway , the people there kindly provided us wif yummy tea & lunch . *Burp* :p Really gaining tonnes of excess 'baggage' during this DNC thingy . Can't help it lah . They're always feeding us wif good food & it'll be damn rude to keep turning them down rite ? Already did a couple of times though , but the 'offers' (for good food) juz keep coming & coming & coming ... . :D Haiyahh , can't wait to start losing weight again . Anywayz :

In case U're wondering what has a factory visit gotta do wif my course ... . It's 'coz we're supposed to be there to observe how the Occupational Diseases Physician (I really can't remember what they're called lah) makes assessments at factories to ensure the well-being of its workers . Skin wise AND other potential safety aspects . Cool ! Like an auditor huh ? I'd like to be one . After being audited so many times , good to make other people quiver in THEIR pants for a change . Wahaha !! Evil . ;p Especially I've got such sharp eyes and a frank & blunt disposition , the people audited are so so gonna hate me . Wahaha !! Habouring nasty thoughts already . Heh heh heh ... *Evil laugh* Ooops , distracted . Haha . As I was saying , the factory (in Senoko) didn't allow us to take pics , so all I can offer is tat strip of yummy Yakult Light tat I bought , FRESH , from the factory . Actually I bought 2 strips of tat and 1 strip of regular one , but I gave the regular one away to Allan . Old man must have healthy intestines oso mah . Hahaha !! Oh ya , and U know wat was the welcome drink we had when we reached the factory ? U've got it . It's ..... a bottle of Yakult original !!! *Applause* I'm pretty tickled by tat . Haha ! But wat else can U expect man ? A bottle of Coke ? Wahaha !! ;p Anyway , really too bad we're not allowed to snap any pics in the factory . It wud have been fun to share wat we saw wif ya . So cute seeing how they make the bottles , make the Yakult , bottle them & pack them . Unbelievable seeing thousands of little Yakults sailing past our eyes . Haha !! So cute . And we actually got to taste the unsweetened-yet version of Yakult . Eeeew , so creamy (like condensed milk) & sour !! My tongue went like *ZING* for a moment . But it was like kindda shiok after a while . Hahaha !! More suitable to dribble on salads though . Haizzz , wish I can visit other food factories . Especially Cadbury Chocolate factory in Tazmania !!!! OMG !! Sugar daddy !! Where are U again ?? I wanna go for a holiday !! :D
Met up wif Vonne & my dear dear Allan after the factory visit . Missed them tonnes . Always fun going for a spin wif them . The car will be so noisy . Haha ! Didn't drive too good this evening . Lost touch on driving a manual car lah . Oooops . Gotta meet Allan more . But muz have more moolah too before I can meet him more mah . Haiyah , poor Allan is now working for a private driving school , so sad to see him being so 'controlled' . 'Coz he really reminds me of a bird . So used to 'flying free' wif his own car , but now so 'caged up' under the school . But no choice lah . Hahaha !! His old car was as old as him , time to send to the junkyard already , and it wun be practical for him to get a new car 'coz of his age . So the next best ting , juz work for a school till his instructor license expires next year loh . *Sobs* I'll miss driving wif him . But I'll definitely not forget him and will sure 'jio' him out wif Vonne for more makans . Hehehe !
Allan & oinky moi . My all-time favourite Santa . :D Very fatherly loh . Finally got a pic wif him even though I've known him for like 2 years ?? Ha ! 3 of us drove to this nice place at Sembawang Beach (Beaulieu House) for a nice dinner . Serene ambience wif good food & company . Nothing beats tat . Gotta bring Mum & Dad here some day . :D I love discovering good eating places , that are away from the maddening crowd . Hee !
And thanx to Vonne & Allan for such a wonderful time & treat . And special thanx to Vonne for the lovely birthday gift . Love it alot . :D Yippee , more space to put more cards . Wahaha !! :p
Last but not least , gotta present U my naughty little niece . She's damn cute and funny now . Now that she knows how to talk a little , and maybe starting to have a little plotting mind of her own , she's really a clown . JUST LIKE her mum (my sis lah) !! OMG !! Tink I'll die from laughing some day juz watching the 2 of them .
24/10/2006 - See tat clown making monkey faces when I asked her to look at the camera phone . So cheeky !! Haha !! But she IS a monkey , being born in that year . Haha ! Taken after the so-so birthday dinner wif my family at Imperial Treasure restuarant at Ngee Ann City . Service so so , food so so , ambience yucky , but price sky high . Bah ! Can U imagine , Sis gotta pay $72 for a single , lousy sweet & sour fish . OMG ! Plus the other dishes , total bill of $194 !! Not tat we can't afford but I seriously think that it's NOT worth it . Food wasn't fantastic at all . Juz edible and muz include NOT FILLING at all . And can U believe it ? The staff there actually had the atrocity to tell us to leave the restaurant by 6pm 'coz they had to fulfill the dinner table reservations . Wat ??! We also made OUR reservations wat . And we reached there at 4pm+ , wan us to choke on our food due to speed eating , juz to allow them to take in more customers ah ?? WTF !! Uh uh ... We took our time , much to the chagrin of the staff there , who kept shooting dagger glances at us . Ha ! Who ask greedy them not being able to manage their reservations well ? Wahaha !! I dunno but I didn't know such a 'policy' existed . Can ask us to leave by a certain time one meh ?? Bah ! Go rot in hell U idiots ! And bring your reservation books wif U !! :p

Yoo hoo peeps !!
Heh ! Me still surviving . 8th week almost ending . Tat means only 4 weeks left . Yay !!! Well , boo to losing the weekend offs and 5-days work week though . Haiyah ... But I really miss my work place . Returned for a short while on Wednesday morning (25/10/2006) for my flu jab and to sort out some paperwork . Wish I didn't need to leave to go back to NSC . Haizzz ... Not tat NSC not good lah , but nothing beats 'home' mah . *Sobs* Nevermind , I'll be back (terminator style) ... soon . Ha !
Back track a little . I was supposed to tell ya about my little D&D surprise . Well , nothing much lah but for a loser like me , having such a kind and thoughtful gesture really made my day . My work place is having its 10th Anniversary D&D in December tis year . Juz found last week tat I dun need to pay a single cent for my ticket (only $35 lah) 'coz my Head of Dermatology has kindly invited some of us from the ward to join the Dermatology table . And I'm one of the 'chosen ones' by him . So nice of him to remember me . Afterall , I haven't seen him for a long time . 'Coz he was on leave before I left for the course , so it's really been quite a while . It always warms my heart when I'm being remembered . Haha !! :p Gives me this warm , fuzzy feeling . Dun like to be forgotten lah . Anywayz , as I was saying , my Derm Chief is a nice doc . And U know how small the world is sometimes ? Hah ! I was actually his PATIENT way before I started to work wif him (since last year only) . Saw him for my ugly pock face way back in 2003 (face now is still ugly , but only few pocks left) . And he's always super nice to me . Very reassuring , frenly and kind . Sometimes over frenly till I get abit scared but I tink tatz juz how he is lah . Stoopid Ranz , people good to U oso talk so much ! Haha !! Anywayz , he always wans me to follow him when he makes his rounds even though I'm not in-charge of tat patient , much to the chagrin of some other staff . Hah ! Not my fault wat . Not tat I throw myself at him rite ? Pah ! And he always teaches me stuff about his patients . Even HE was the one who recommended tat I go for this Dermatology Nursing Course . If not , dun tink we'll ever know this course actually existed . So I muz really study hard , do well , repay his and Sister A.'s kindness . Sometimes it's juz fated how U click & work well wif some people . Unlike some millions-in-her-bank bitch ! Bah !! Will NEVER and can NEVER get along wif such cuckoos who think so highly of themselves . C'mon lah ! U still breathe O2 and eat and shit like all Earthlings rite ? Haha !! So wat U're some big shots . Kiss my ass ! Poof !
Talking about studying , guess wat ? Got my DNC exam results today . Heh ! 1st to get it so far . Much to the anxiety of the others . Wahaha ! Oso dunno why lucky me get to get the results 1st . Maybe Sister K. pitied my sleepless , lifeless peepers , so she kindly lemme know my results 1st , so tat I can get a good night's rest tonite ? Haha !! My guess only lah . Dun kill me !! Anyway , didn't do as badly as I tot I wud . But could have done MUCH better though . Well , save tat for the next exam the week after next . Anywayz , in case U're wondering , I got 14/20 for the MCQs (bad bad bad !!) & 66/80 for the essay questions (Q1=18/20 , Q2=14/20 , Q3=18/20 , Q4=16/20) . Grand total of 80/100 ? Aiyah , dunno how they gonna tabulate the damn ting lah . Make us stress only . Bah ! Well , wish tat I could have gotten above 90 , but I shud be thankful tat I passed . Haiyahh ! Gotta hit the books again soon . :(
Hee ! Went for a field trip tis afternoon to SiLRA Home . It was such an eye-opener for us . Quite sad to see wat the residents have been thru' due to their condition . But it's a consolation tat they're well taken care of in this home . Really peaceful and pleasant . Really pray that they dun get any more pain or sufferings after all they've been thru' . Ahhh ... if only everyday can be like today . Comfortable , lazy , Garfield days ...Heh !
Slept late last nite , so woke up late as well today . Ermm , not really that late lah . Woke up at 8am+ . Did some laundry and tidying of my room & hall as Sis & Baby Niece coming over . Was lazing around reading the papers wif Mum when I had the sudden urge to do some cooking today . :D Hey , I CAN cook , wokays . Not juz instant noodles & fried eggs type , but proper delicious meals , WHEN I'm in the mood , though . *Sheepish* Which is quite rare lah . Anywayz , decided to bake a loaf of bread for Mum . Ahahaha !! As U can tell from the lack of pictures of my creation , it didn't turn out too well . To me at least . Quite yucky actually . Tatz why I dare not post any pics of my 'disaster' . But the funny thing , though (or dough , haha .) , is tat Mum found it D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S . Almost wiping out the entire loaf . :D U know , it's SO hard to gain a compliment from my Mum , so when she does , tat ting muz be really damn good . Wahaha !! Oh well , no comments . Juz hope tat she doesn't get a tummy ache tonite . :p Was still just trying to convince her to throw the balance away . But she vehemently refused , followed by protectively wrapping up watz left and stowing it away safely . Wahaha !!
My Mum ... Love her to bits even though she really hurt me many a time . It's so good to be able to see her enjoy a particular food 'coz there's just THAT much she can eat these days . Poor Mum . Due to her multiple ailments , there's really nothing much she can eat nowadays . :( Her gastritis prevents her from eating anything spicy or sour , while her Meniere's Disease (an ENT problem) doesn't allow ANY intake of salt (sodium) . The latter is really so hard to bear 'coz most food contain sodium these days . She's been living wif this horrid problem for around 18 years already and things juz seem to deteriorate further recently 'coz she's getting older maybe . Now really intolerant to even the tiniest amount of sodium . All it takes is juz 1 wrong mouthful and she's ready to spiral into those mad spinning attacks . *Sobs* Really breaks my heart to see her suffer during those times , and listen to how she sometimes wistfully wish that she can juz nibble on her once favourite snack Cheezels again . I know I may appear nonchalent but I really dunno how to help her . I wish I could . I really wish by giving up 15 years or more of my wretched life , I can exchange for the health & happiness of my parents & loved ones & all little creatures on Earth . But no Ranz , things dun work this way . Cannot be lazy and juz wish wish . Gotta put thoughts into actions & do more good deeds to earn some merits for my loved ones . Gotta remind myself constantly . Buddha & Kwan-Yin please please guide me along ... *Sobs*

7th Week Down .....

Yippeee ... ! Nearing the day I make a comeback to my workplace . It's about time lah . Been away for wayyy too long . Starting to lose my momentum for proper hard work & gaining tonnes & tonnes of weight . *Sobs* Everyone's SURE gonna comment wat a roly-poly I've become when I get back . Wat the heck , let them ! Then when I lose weight again , let them wonder if I have some deadly illnesses again . Wahaha ! Never can please everyone . Anyway , as I was saying , the only thing I'll miss about the course will probably be the 5 days work week & weekend offs . *Double sobs* Back to the harsh reality of shift work . Then again , I should be happy that I'll be getting my shift allowances again . Well , not that it's ALOT to begin with . Bah ! Talking about allowances , juz learnt from my colleague yesterday that we'll be receiving a paltry increment this month . Well , it's considerably more than the previous years but still paltry . Well , better than none . Hiyahhh ... , how to reach my $3k basic pay goal at this rate ? Dream on Ranz , dream on . Wahaha ! Become an old , fat , grouchy , spinster missy still wun be able to reach that amount lah . :D Anywayz , finally completed my 2 weeks posting to Clinc C - Phototherapy Unit . So glad that it's over . :p Ermmm , though in between I did slack around & hide away in other clinics lah . Hahahaha !! Can't blame me lah . I'm not someone who can take mundane work , U know ? I get bored easily . Even my coursemate Siew Hui noticed that and commented recently . I dun deny . Haha ! Gimme challenges & excitement anytime !! Well , I dun mean those ICUs and A&Es excitement though . That will be too much for my lousy heart to bear . Finicky Ranz !! :p As I was saying , didn't really enjoy my posting in Clinic C . Dun get me wrong . The staff there are superbly kind , humourous , willing to teach , skillful & knowledgeable . But the work there is superly routine also ! Really salute the staff there for being able to work in this unit for almost eternity . Haha !! My salute to ALL the staff in the centre lah , for being able to work in such conditions AND maintain their sanity . Not easy , not easy at all ! Hey , no insults intended . :D Witnessed the old , f*ckingly idiotic millions-in-her-bank bitch bitching away again on Friday (20/10/2006) . Poor L.P. , kena for nothing . Every newbie gotta be given a chance mah . WTF ?! KNN ! Nabei ! Ooops ... ! Sorry . Juz that tat piece of shit really sounded super BITCHY loh . Gotta cheek to go complain to the Sister AGAIN some more . Well , tatz all she's good for . F*cker ! Go burn alive in hell !! Small world ya ? She left 5 years ago & here we are , meeting & working together again 5 years later . Still the same chirpy gal . Prettier though . Therefore , I know a good worker when I've worked wif one , so the person who needs to go for re-training is U , U f*cking millions-in-her-bank bitch ! Re-training in basic courtesy & manners & being human that is ! Bah ! :( On a lighter note , the centre kindly celebrated my birthday in advance on Tuesday (17/10/2006) . Quite a pleasant surprise . Why did I say quite ? Well , 'coz of the irritating attitude of some long beanie , thinking that he's so high UP in the sky . Pui ! Ooops , I mustn't be ungrateful & say bad things 'coz afterall , the management really made an effort to spring this surprise on me , but at the same time , it was at the most inappropriate timing lah . 1stly , they held it AFTER our working hours . Who's gonna be willing to stay back just for the party ? Even I as the birthday gal won't , let alone the others . We're all tired out , especially tat day was our 'traumatic' exam day . Haha ! Then , some gals gotta rush off for degree classes , and there they were , waiting for the long beanie to make his grand appearance before they could start . Pwah !! Make me wonder who's supposed to be the star-attraction here . Then , it's wayyy to early to celebrate my birthday lah . One whole week in advance leh . I dunno , neber experience before . Wahaha !! Oh well , anyway , din even have the mood to eat my cake . Juz cut it and took a chicken puff away wif me and hastily made my exit . Was really in no mood to celebrate 'coz of post exam 'depression' & I needed to rush home to help Helga out with Orange Boy . Oh well , itz the tot tat counts I guess . Gotta feel important & privilaged 'coz as I've mentioned before , the centre's own gals dun enjoy such niceties . So Ranz , gotta be grateful !! Anywayz , lookee : 
My birthday cake . Hmmm , I dunno , but they tink I cute like Tweety issit ? Ermmm ... I got a tiny teddy as well . Looking at tis pic , U'll probably tink that it's the celebration for a 1 year-old . But thank U very much , I'm 27 !! :( Look where little teddy ended up in . In Mum's bookshelf wif Papa bear & Mama bear . :D Cute rite ? Juz like my family now . Daddy's & Mummy's only little gal left . Now tat Sis has gotten married & started her own family . Wahaha !! Me the usual pampered brat . Bite me ! Anywayz , yes , in case U've noticed , the 2 bigger bears ARE decked in the uniforms of ICA . Daddy's a Customs Officer U see . And I dunno why for the past 2 years , they've been giving their staff a pair of bears in uniform . Cute rite ? Different year , different type of bears , but all in uniform one . Wahaha !! I'd like MY workplace to gimme a pair of bears in missy uniform or stethoscopes . That will be cute . :D Ha ! Mum & I accompanied Helga & Orange Boy to the vet's this morning (21/10/2006) for his 3rd acupuncture session wif Dr. O. : Cool ! Hope it helps . Poor Helga AND Mum , really draining their resources trying to help this little fella . Curse the f*cking idiot guy & his galfren who caused this misery ! May the 2 of U get kicked as well , so hard till U lose YOUR bladder & anal functions also , AND rot in hell also also !! Damn damn damn U 2 !!! Evil freaks ! Pick someone your own size to abuse next time . In case U all are tinking how foul-mouthed I am , think again when U read the following . The vet said that the impact of the kick Orange Boy had to his spine was equivalent to a 3-storey fall !!! So , am I still being mean in my words to whoever that 2 f*ckers are ? Neah , I dun tink so ! Bah bah !! Hee ! Dropping by my workplace for a while coming Wednesday (25/10/2006) to get my flu jab . Yay ! Looking forward to it . Hahaha !! No , I'm not a sadist for pain but the flu jab's really good stuff ! I strongly recommend it . And , will probably drop by A&E as well to get a referral to CSMC for my 'ke-lian' left knee . Eeee , hope I'm juz being paranoid & that there's NOTHING wrong wif my knee . Hope the Drs will juz say , "Ranz , U're too fat ! Gotta lose alot of weight !" Wahaha !! That will be easy peasy & reassuring to me loh . Dun wanna end up like Nigel lah . :( Poor guy . Also , will be visiting cutie-pie Sir Squirrel next Sunday (29/10/2006) either before or after dropping by Siti's place for Hari Raya . Missed him ! Ooops ... Finally Squirrel has gained his sexual identity . He's officially a BOY !! Wahaha !! Good for him . Anyway , latest pic of the darling : My my ... He's grown , but still sweet as ever huh ?
