In Loving Memory of HOLLY , the Shetland Sheepdog .

FOUND ON 01 MAY 2002
DEPARTED ON 23 SEPTEMBER 2006

You came in as an abandoned dog
You left me as MUMMY'S DARLING

They say memories are golden
Well maybe that is true
But I never wanted memories
I only wanted you .

A million times I needed you
A million times I cried
If love alone could have saved you
You never would have died .

In life I loved you dearly
In death I love you still
In my heart you will forever hold a place
No one could ever fill .

If tears could build a stairway
And heartache make a lane
I will walk the path to heaven
And bring you back again .

Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same
But as God call us one by one
The chain will be linked again .

That was Holly's owner's last words to him before he was cremated today (26/09/2006) . :`( The whole poem really tugged at my heartstrings sia . I can definitely relate to her situation 'coz my own family experienced 2 painful losses of our beloved pets in 2003 , 1 month apart . OMG ! I can never never ever forget the day we sent my darling Baby Jane to be put down . But it was for her own good lah . She was suffering so much . *Sobs* And it's quite touching that Baby Jane became sick 1 month after her own sister Maxie 2nd was put down , due to old age & sickness also . *Haizzz* 17 years+ is not a short period U know ? I practically grew up with them . Pets are family too , and I'm really dreading when the TIME comes for my current pets (3 cats & 1 dog) . OMG !! What is life all about sia ??

Anyway , to dear Holly & all my long gone darlings :

"There are no goodbyes ,

Just , till we meet again ."
